Hey readers – apologies it’s been a long while since the blog was updated however I’ve been focussing on writing my first feature length script which finally is complete – more of that to follow once I’ve had some time to breathe!
In the meantime the team is now going to be reconvening to complete the Crime Squad 3D edit – so far we have rough edits of about half the series and still have several shots to complete. Our original plans to complete the series early this year have obviously fallen by the wayside but we are now going to have a push to try and get something online by no later than the end of 2014 – it would be good to head into 2015 with the full series ready to roll out in glorious Super Stereo Vision.
In the meantime do keep in touch over on Facebook and we’ll keep you up to date as to how we’re finally doing!

AV Watch has shared images of another 3D viewer that allows viewers to watch 3d content via their smartphone.
Like the Hasbro my3D and the recent Google Cardboard VR Kit this device is a basic update on the classic victorian stereoscope. It features a dual lens system and holding device that allows you to slip your phone in one end and view 3d Side by Side content from the likes of YouTube in full colour stereoscopic 3D.
Engadget reports that device works in a similar manner to another 3D classic the Viewmaster, “but magnifies side-by-side yt3D YouTube movies on an iPhone instead of the classic circular slides. On top of negating the need for custom content like similar products we’ve seen, this should also yield a brighter and larger 3D viewing area than red-green glasses — letting you get the most out of that retina display.”
Unfortunately this product appears to be iPhone 4/4S and a Japanese release only.
We’re proud to announce that we’re running a Scotland’s first 3D filmmaking training course along with SKAMM in Edinburgh for 14 to 21 year olds this summer.
Going from the basics of stereo 3D filming principles right through to the final edit and depth grading of a 3D short film this course will give attendees handon experience alongside a strong grounding of modern 3D stereoscopic film production.
The course runs from 21st to 25th of July at the Edinburgh College of Art. For more details email email@example.com
