A few weeks back I set a challenge and made a promise to donate to “Children in Need” if I made it. I calculated to hit the magic 1,000,000 views mark by the end of 2010, I would need to average a little over 6,000 views a day – in general on YouTube I do see figures around the 5,000 views mark, sometimes with big leaps if a particular video takes off, but also dips if people have something better to do with their time (as if!) – so I reasoned that with sufficient impetus I could do it.
So half we’re a day off the end of the month it’s looking pretty unlikely. With your help I’ve seen a small increase in traffic but it’s just not been quite enough to hit the magic number – at current figures it looks like I’ll be around 30,000 views short of the big one! With that in mind I’d like to ask again if you like these videos then it would be great if you could invite friends to see them – especially our “ED Top 5 3D Vids” that we’ve written about in an earlier post, plus do please check out our exclusive new indie 3D music video for “Glu” that will go live on YouTube and Vimeo tonight.
As ever thanks for your support, and if you’re a 3d fan do please bookmark us and come back for exciting news about our plans for 2011!

Our target of 1 million views is still a little way to go, but with around 100K views on Vimeo, and 5K views on Daily Motion to add to our total it’s a stretch but we’re hoping our subscribers and their friends will help.

Our 3D short “FourPlay 3D” has been selected to compete in the short 3D film category in the 3D Stereo Media Film Festival in Liege, Belgium this week.
The pre-selection jury have put us up against some impressive work from 3D producers around Europe including the astounding “Elephants Dream” that was made with the open source “Blender” software. I’ve not see the stereoscopic version of this but it’s an amazing looking short and I’m overwhealmed to be even considered in the same category as this.
“FourPlay 3D” will be screened on Thusday at 20:00 at Cinema Sauvenière in Downtown Liège. If the snow can stop for a while in Edinburgh so I can travel, I hope to see you there.

I’ve decided to set myself a little challenge between now and the end of the year – to get the views of my videos over the 1,000,000 views mark. You think I can make it? And just to make it more exciting, if I succeed I’ll donate £100 to Children in Need!
Obviously this must be possible, but it’s a definite challenge. The current state of play is that I have videos running on three Stereoscopic 3D Channels – YouTube, Vimeo and Daily Motion. How these measure up in terms of numbers is that YouTube is way out in front currently sitting at over 700,000 views, next in line is Vimeo with just under 100,000 views and finally Daily Motion at around 3,500. Giving me a grand total of around 800,000 views. So can I get another 200,000 views in a little over a month? I’ll give it my best shot.
My tactics are simple – create a few extra videos, give away a few extra downloads, beg and plead with my facebook friends, do a little extra tweeting and we’ll see what happens?
Do you think I can do it? Check back throughout December and see… oh and make sure you get everyone to check out my 3d videos on YouTube!
Enhanced Dimension’s Award winning FourPlay is one of the 3d short films being shown at the 3D Korea International Film Festival.

500,000+ views of our videos on YouTube and Vimeo Channels! Wow, what can I say, wow. Thanks to everyone who’s watched, subscribed and/or fedback on our 3D videos over the last year it’s been astounding to say the least.
Enhanced Dimensions went from a standing start last September with a couple of test 3D videos to go on to an amazing level of success. In the last year we’ve way exceeded expectations and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. Admittedly far from shy about boasting about the achievements I thought I’d give a little recap of how well Enhanced Dimensions has done in 12 months.
Here’s the highlight (hope I don’t miss any):
…stay tuned though we’ve plenty more where that came from.
We’ve also released a whole heap of Stereo 3D Training Videos that can be seen on our “3D in a Nutshell” Page. These include videos on:
And don’t forget our Stereoscopic 3D Channel that runs on YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion that has in total received:
- Now over 500,000 views of our videos
- Over 1000 subscribers
- A fantastic level of positive feedback
The big question is after a first year like that how do we top it? Stay with us for 2011 and see…
