Situation Vacant will finally get a digital 3D screening in the UK at the first ever Edinburgh 3D Film Festival this May.
Our award winning sci-fi/mystery film which we created at last years 48 Hour Film Project in Edinburgh will have its UK Stereoscopic 3D Premiere on the 7th May at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh in Scotland’s first 3D film festival. This is really great news for us to be able to screen our film in the format it was meant to be seen in. In production we really considered how the stereoscopic effect could be used in a subtle way to enhance the story and characters emotional perspective, and it’s certainly the best considered use of 3D I think we have made to date.
Of course this is just one of a whole block of live action 3D shorts that we will be screening that night, and is itself one night of a week-long celebration of stereoscopic 3D films.
